HandiWriter Writing Aid – a simple, highly effective device that guides children into perfect writing posture, grip and hand position naturally and comfortably.The HandiWriter consists of a soft elastic wrist loop, a small loop that goes around the pen or pencil, and a cord with a charm held in the palm of the hand. These three elements work together to encourage the therapist-recommended "tripod grip" without any effort or conscious correction.We invited a friend's left-handed daughter to try out the HandiWriter as we weren't sure if it was just a gimmick. She started with a fairly bad writing style, holding the pencil in a "fist" grip and very vertically so she couldn't see what she was writing and smudged her work straight away. The first time she tried the HandiWriter, she immediately had a perfect writing position – her writing was hugely improved, she felt a lot more comfortable, and it was very difficult for her to smudge her work.
