I just wanted to point out that most Egyptian Gods are painted or posed carrying the 'Ankh' (the symbol of being a God) in their left hand. They also stand with their left foot slightly infront of the right. According to research into Body Language by standing with the left side slightly forward the person facing you are more likely to be honest and truthful with you.

The place of Leonardo in history as an artist and even as a scientist is well known. Many of his inventions, such as the helicopter, were only on paper, however. His actual achievements and contributions to the technology of his time are less well known and somewhat problematical. On the one hand, it is said that none of his ideas were practical, while on the other, it is said that his improvements in canal locks have been imitated ever since.

Can't believe our primeminister is only 9th! Surely he has more power as the leader of an entire country than a PAST president? Agree with Bill gates being up there for defo. He could porbs control most of the worlds computers and as a bit of a super wiz he could hack in to the rest :)

I should be on the list. I started college last year at 62, and I am holding my own with the 20 years old. I love being left-handed. I always have to sit in the first seat of the row so I don't bump elbows with the wrong-handed people. :-))
  20. Liz
When left handed politicians make positive gestures, their audience sees these gestures on the right so 90% of the audience will perceive them as good! Surely that's bad news for right handed politicians? Maybe this explains the unpopularity of (probably) 90% of politicians!

There is some debate about whether Joan of Arc was left-handed, or portrayed that way, to justify her being called a witch. Nowadays she would be thought to be schizophrenic for hearing voices.
Queen Victoria was left-handed, but made to change.
