We have been approached by the programme's producers Hat Trick to see if they can use our Left Handers Club newsletter as their guest publication in a forthcoming programme. We will surely come in for a bit of teasing on the show but it is also a great way to let a lot more left-handers know about the Left Handers Club so we have said yes.
We thought it might help them as well as being a bit of fun if we could create some headlines for them to use, so let us have your ideas by adding a comment to the post about this on our website. They need to have a left-handed theme, be roughly linked to our newsletter and allow room for the insertion of amusing comments by the panelists. Here are some ideas of ours to get you started...

President Obama - When US President Barack Obama met Israeli Prime Minister (and fellow lefthander) Benjamin Netanyahu in March he told him that as a boy living in Indonesia, he was often hit with a ruler as punishment for writing with left handed. "When I was in Indonesia, it was considered bad manners to write with ones left hand." Obama said. "Even though I would get hit with rulers, I just stuck with it" he explained, according to a press agency report of the conversation.

I am a Left Handed Woodturner, & in my belief, the Wood Lathe was made for the Left Hander's By a Left Hander.
As Left Handed Woodturners, we have to be Ambidextrous, so we may Turn a Bowl or the likes.
Mainly, we stand in the Centre of The Lathe, but our Right Handed Turners have the Head Stock to contend with, but certainly doesn't worry them at all.

Not only were left handers used as assassins and armies, but only left handed men were used to copy down the Old Testament scriptures. This was because the ancient Hebrew text was written from right to left and the had to be accurate. Right handers would have dragged their hand across the text. This is why only left handed men were used as scribes.
Two of the panel of six 'Experts' on 'That Puppet Game Show' are puppeteered left-handed. Namely Sport's Expert Miss Jemimia Taptackle and showbusiness expert Amber O'Neill.
As the majority of puppet characters are left-handed (because of the people under them who help them move being right-handed, and therefore using their right-handed to help the puppets move), Miss Taptackle and Amber have the distinction of being right-handed, because their "special friend" (among the people who help them move), Louise Gold (who helped to set up Spitting Image), happens to be lefthanded.
