In my long career, I have played two brass instruments (baritone and tuba) and one stringed instrument (violin). A left-handed horn would have been welcome. However, I would really fight anyone who wanted to make me play the violin left-handed. Think about it – the “normal” violin has the left had do all of the delicate work (the fingering) while the right hand just pushes the bow. In my estimation, the stringed instruments are Left-handed to begin with. If you are a lefty, just use them as they are and don’t tell
anyone that we already have left-handed instruments.

  2. my son is left handed and the book you have i would love to read on kindle – is this something you are in the process of doing

Hello, I am a parent educator in the state of Idaho and I have a parent who has a left handed child and is trying to force her to be right handed. I know that is wrong but I cannot for the life of me find any information that explains why, neurologically, it is wrong. I want to present her with research based information and I cannot seem to find any online. Pretty frustrating.

    Help.
