- Left Handed Compliment

I do everything with my left hand.I am the only leftie in my immediate family. I was the only leftie at school all the way through,my teachers didn’t know what to do with me, they tried to make me write with my right hand, but I refused, there was no equipment for lefties in those days. I can use a mouse left handed just reconfigure the buttons so that the right hand button is the one you use most.
Hey fellow Lefties!
This website is SO cool!
i just recently discovered it
it’s actually really exciting because up till now i thought that nobody really cares and that we were all alone but today i know that there are so many people! there are so many of us! Some of the most successful people are left handed and so we shouldn’t feel low or like the underdogs at all!
i am a proud left handed woman!
what the heck is up with this website its weird but funny couse all its about is left handed people which some of these people on here r a little bit crazy their sayin the they feel left out but its not that bad (im left handed 2) but thats just goin 2 far
I am really happy, becouse I am a left handed man, and I born 13 August.
Happy Late Left Handed Birthday!!!
i m lefty. I’v heard that lefties are good at sports and many other fields. Now i also play tennis but not so good as i alway lag behind coz of my weight ( 70 kg for 16 yrs). So just wanna know that whether i shld continue playing or not
u should still play not just because of ur weight just do what u want
I am only left handed person in my family and friends. My friends play table tennis with me and they say that i am almost impossible to be beaten just because i become a problem for them. I even play hockey and people ask me if i am left handed when they see me with left handed hockey. I feel so special and unique of myself. I am proud of being myself a Left handed but i even have some problems that in my school and tuiton there are right handed tables but i am not able to write perfectly on them. But still i am proud of calling myself calling a Left Handed knowing that people like us have very less majority. SO three cheers for Left handed persons….
Im a lefty.. The only one in my family to be exact.. so you can imagine what that feels like… i think of myself as being specail… My twin sister is right handed. All the desks at school are made for right handed people and i think its crazy to be honest..I can also use my right hand… I have to in the game of basketball but as a lefty i still think of myself as unstoppable!!! softball i aslo had to lean how to catch and bat with my right hand because i was always forgettn my glove
They should make it to where you buy a “removable” hold “arm rest” on the side for left handed people!! How convenient would that be for all of us!!!???!!! And it’s secure so it doesn’t fall… Only if…
i’m left handed. but i learned to use my right hand because when i was growing up everyone else around me was right handed. so now when i play softball i can bat left handed but i perfer to bat right becuase that’s the side all of my cousins and friend bat on. i can catch with both hands but i only can throw with my left. but when i use the coputer i use my right hand. am i the only person who does this?? but i love being a LEFTY!!!!
Hello KIra, its not crazy at all. I’m actually ambidextrous, at least i was at school. I do a lot of things right and left handed (except write- throw a ball-handle kitchen utensils etc.strictly left-handed) i consider myself left handed because i automatically go to do most things with my left without thinking about it. I am incidentally the only southpaw in my family. Southpaw is an expression i hear a lot as well
I also do the same, I move to the left without thinking, but with the can-opener i have to use my right hand (it’s difficult!!!)because all the family is right handed except me! On the computer I use my right hand, but pretty much everything else is left sided. The MAIN thing that is bad with being left handed for me is that when I write it smudges and it gets all on my wrist and LEFT side of my hand.!. And I dislike how stuff is more expensive for left handed people. We are all special us left handed!!! And when ever my coach demonstrates he always has to show ONLY me everything because I’m the only lefty in my class.!.
I also can’t use the mouse on the right side.I totally do what Laura does.Diamond.just move the mouse where ever you feel comfortable. Why should we have to adapt???The rightys actually have to move the mouse back to the right side!!!Boo Hoo!!!:)
I use a pad mouse which overcomes any left or right problem, they are available in Australia or on the net for around au$20 up.
Reply
Really?!? You have to buy one for $20?!? I can go down to the store and buy one for $5 if that!!! And I try using the mouse left-handed but it just doesn’t feel right! I will try the mouse-pad and thanks for saying that because I wouldn’t have even thought about it!!!
Left handed I am,I bat right handed, use left handed glove throw left handed, when I use a hammer righthanded, use a gun righthanded, cut steak, use barbeque utensils righthanded, when I was boxing I fought lefthanded,,use my left to write, are there others like me?
I am also lefthanded. I am a 42 year old women. And when I was coming up you had no choice but to adapt to a right-handed enviroment. Basically all I do is right with my left hand. I eat with my right hand. I throw a ball and catch with my right hand. I’ll even paint my fingernails and toes. First I’ll paint my left and then my right. So as you can see through the years I’ve adapted very well. Now on the other hand my sister who is also left-handed does EVERYTHING with her left hand. She calls me a leftie rightee……LOL
Further comment. Why try to adjust when there is no need to. The above mouse is ‘HP’ branded but is a Bluetooth ‘Targus Optical BT laptop Mouse’ and is medium sized.
I use a Mac with a Targus optical wireless laptop mouse. Simply reversed mouse buttons from right to left. Works perfectly. Really annoys/confuses right-handers when they want to use my Mac and mouse. Payback. Being wireless it is easy to carry with you. It is not shaped for right handers.
Where did you get that?!? I would love one!!!
me too! sounds really cool!
I’ve “adapted” to almost everything else, but I just can’t use the mouse in my right hand. I’ve tried, I really have but it just doesn’t work for me. I don’t have to swap the buttons over though, I use my middle finger for the left button and my index finger for the right one – I tend to use the right button a lot for shortcuts and find it much quicker than using the keyboard. I’ve actually found it better to have the mouse on the left anyway, as it means I can use the number keypad with my right hand and the mouse with my left at the same time which impresses everyone in the office
I’ve found that quite often desks are all set up with the mouse on the right hand side and the lead’s not long enough to swap it over which is really annoying (and leftist!).
So Diamond if it suits you to use the mouse on the left side then carry on – I take it you don’t grab the right-handers’ mouse even though it’s on your left side so they should be able to cope with yours being on their right side, so don’t let them bully you into changing!
Oh and not all mice (mouses?) are shaped for right hands!
Its not that hard to use the mouse with your right hand, i do it all the time because using my left hand was inconvenient and the mouse is shaped for a right hand. Its called adapting.
why don’t you try using the mouse with your right hand. I can do it you should be able to get used to it.
school is hard times when i use tue computer i have to move the mouse to the other side and the right handed people really dont like when i do that because it distracts them from their work because they keeep grabbing my mouse its hard i wish more ppl were left handed but thats what makes me who i am if i wasnt left handed then i would be just like everyone else
