I have looked at the site on my late-2013 iMac running Yosemite, and my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S running iOS 8.0.1. All using Safari. I did not try the activities you demonstrated, but only the desktop version looked the way your site shows it. On the iPad and the iPhone, the left side floats a Facebook icon and information icon. On the right side, icons for other sharing options float. The icons are merely a distraction on the iPad; Unfortunately, they take up too much space on the 4S for the page to be usable.
