One can only quote confucius - Its not "who`s right" that wins a war, its "Who`s left" Keep up the battle folks- Try to avoid the word "right" use the word "Correct" Never use the word "writing" use the word "scribing or printing"or my favourite "Lefting" Annother gem I use is to have the "Left side" and the "wrong side" In other words, upset as many "wrong" handers as possible. It makes them stop and think what they are saying.

hi i am a lefty from staffordshire in the uk, there used to be a left handed shop near to us in ironbridge near telford, though this closed some years ago. it is really good to have found this left handed site where we can read about other leftys and various lefty facts. i work in construction management. without blowing my own trumpet i have worked for several employers and always ended up as the most sought after manager when jobs are being allocated. i believe this is down to me being left handed, my thinking and logic seems to be wider and more varied than that of my righty colleagues. and decision making is definitley easier being a lefty. i would not change for the world.

I always wondered why my photos were often blurry, it never dawned on me that because I was using my right hand to point and shoot, it wasn't as strong nor as stable. I am going to try holding the camera upside down and holding the camera in my left hand, I am excited to discover I might be able to take a decent photo. Too bad I just returned from a trip to Russia and many of my photos are blurry.

dear christine,
i to have had a stroke and lost the use of the right, as to your question about left handed camera no there is (not one) made now. there used to be one made in russar, the only thing i can say is to take him to camera shops and handle and try out all and everything. the one ive got and fine very useable left hand is the fujifilm S5700 which is very ease held in left hand the right way up but your thumb is inbetween lense and handgrip, but all the buttons are in ease reach of fingers.
yours tony

Thanks so much for your newsletter and catalog items. I was one of two lefties in my grade school, and probably through the fear of the nun's wrath I tried extra hard and had good penmanship, much to their surprise! Interestingly, I really only write and do a few sports left-handed, and my daughter is the mirror of that - writes right-handed and everything else is left. It's so nice there are more lefties and products to use these days, we're not so freakish afte all! (We are the only ones in our right mind, right?!)

Hi
My wife and I are both lefties but the three kids are right handed. The only thing I do Right handed is eat. My sister is right handed but eats left.
I cant begin to tell you the problems I've had being a leftie. Teachers at school persisted in trying to make me write right and caused me to stammer which I still do now. I joined the army and everything is by the right there. It was impossible to fire a rifle left handed as the rifle was self loading and the empty cartridges would fly out to the right and take your eye out.
Still I have got by for nearly sixty years, but would still love to be able to handle a camera properly, use an iron where the lead comes in from the left and a thousand other things that people take cfor granted.
