The argument will go on over President Obama. Most of the opposition wants him out for two reasons, whether or not they admit to either. 1) They do not like the fact that he is black, and 2) He is a Democrat, and they automatically disagree with anything Democrats propose. There is no question that he, hands down, much more intelligent than his predecessor and that he inherited a huge mess on all fronts from the previous administration. I say please give the guy a chance to prove himself and his party! i am proud is a left- hand like us and also i celebrate my birthday the same date as his!

I’m certainly not proud to include Obama as a fellow lefty, but there he is, and we can’t do anything about. I’m really tired of the really old “it’s Bush’s fault”. You realize that the President can’t cause the economic situation of America. Who writes the budget? Congress! Who appropriates the budget? Congress! The only control (however minute) is the power of the veto. In Bush’s case (because he had a democrat congress) it was hell if he would have vetoed the budget. The media would have fried him. Looking at the housing failure, who de-regulated Fanny and Freddie? Bubba.
As far as real lefties, they carry a pocket watch. Sorry, if you girls don’t have pockets.

I agree with Diana. There is no one more left-handed or left-sided than I am. My whole left side is larger and more functional than my right. When I learned to walk, I put my left foot out and dragged the right one up to meet it. I do not write over-handed. I write in the normal way but am totally left handed. OK, all that said, I wear my watch on my right wrist because of what Diana said and also because I usually wear a watch that has to be fastened in some way, either buckled or hooked or something. MUCH easier with the left hand!
Every genius on record has been left handed. But that doesn’t mean that every left hander is a genius which is proven by Obama and his supporters.

Hello from Greece. I am left handed and i have also a dominant left foot. i can’t be sure about eye or ear. In the human geography there are people that are absolutely left handed and people who are absolutely right handed but among them many many different cases. It is a complex phenomenon on which science has no specific conclusions yet. But the fact that famous persons like Einstein, Da Vinci, Aristotle and so many others were left handed it’s something that makes me feel proud! I think also that Obama is not what we expected for.
according to some of the newsletters from anything left handed, left handed people are wired to the more creative part of the brain and right handed people to the more logical part. Do you wan’t a logical president or a creative president?

I am a big Obama supported and a proud leftie (also a female leftie, more rare) so I am happy he’s in “The Group”. And I guess I thought I was the only leftie that wore her watch on her left hand, but now I can say proudly, I am a true leftie! I love it.

I disagree with you on the watch thing, Diana. I am a true lefty and yes, I do wear my watch on my left hand. I think that those who don’t wear them on their left hand are not the true lefties. Those people are probably right-eyed. I am dominant with not just my left-hand but my eye as well as my leg and for that matter my left breast is slightly larger than my right. It is also true that a right handed person can be left eye dominant as well as left leg dominant.
I too am a true lefty and wear my watch on my right hand as well.

I’m a true lefty, in my eyes, and also (when I used to!)wear my watch on my left arm. I guess it didn’t make that much difference to me as long as I could see the time clearly, which I could. It would seem strange to turn my right wrist to check.
I am a leftie for sure, but when I was in school, I wore my watch on my right hand just because it was more comfortable than writing with it rubbing on the desk. I hate to tell you, but I rarely wear a watch these days – cell phone in pocket is much easier.

Your wrong I’m left eyed,and left footed and the left half of a set of mirror twins. Lefty use their left hand to put ona watch so it would have to wnd up on your right wrist. Thats wht our belts are always upside down because we use our left hand to put it on.
You could always try it on your rioght wrist and see how much easier it is to put on. I use both me eyes to put on my watch.

His approach to the leadership was inspiring. He has made a few small faux-pas which his adversaries leapt onto .. as you would expect … but can he achieve all that he wants … “Yes, we can” … note the WE … He can only achieve with the support and direct help of the American people, exactly as Leftie Cameron can only improve our lot with our support and participation in the Age of Hardship.

I don’t consider him a real lefty. Real lefties wear their watches on their right wrist. Both Him and Clinton wear their watches on their left wrists.
Are you sure about that hon? I’m a through and through leftie and I wear my watch on my left wrist. How are we expected to change the time, date, etc. with it on the other wrist. Left or right, common sense should prevail with some things.
Quite a few US Presidents were Left Handers> I feel more secure with a US Present that is Left Handed for a variety of reasons.

This next year will tell if he was the right choice. The fact that he is an “African American” has no bearing on his abilities. He is not our “African American” president in my eyes. One would think with all these left-handed presidents we have had that they would have made it mandatory for left-handed items to be the same price as right-handed items instead of so much more expensive. Why must we adapt and be expected to pay additional costs for a good majority of items. I say put the pen on the left side of clip boards and make right-handers adapt to our way.

President Obama being black or half white or what ever has nothing to do with his being an ineffective president. Housing market, loss of jobs, bailout with money the US had to borrow, not closing the Mexican border, his white house staff etc etc etc is what makes me and many others dislike him, It has nothing to do with race, but it does have to do with lack of trust of the American people.
I hate to burst the old cliche bubble, but it was ‘white people’ who got him elected in the first place, so how could those very same people now be upset about having a ‘black’ (bi-racial) president??? Let’s think before we write!! There are actually valid reasons for concern…

When you have to clean up the mess he inherited, thank God he has a left-hand to work with. Lefties are by nature ambixterous. Even that trait has made his job more demanding and challenging. At the end of four years, I’m trusting he will have “righted” the Bush wrongs.
I did not expect the discussion to become so political, nor so one-sidedly political and highly critical. Compared to his predecessor, Barack Obama has and uses BOTH sides of his highly intelligent brain, rather than neither. He had to pick up the pieces of a country that had been run into the ground, and is in the process. There is a hateful, negative faction blocking him from achieving goals that would be very good for all of America, but the “tea-baggers” will continue with their hateful negativity as shown above.

I dont think he makes lefties look bad, but then I am not an American, he did not cause the recession and he was the first one to get tough with the finance industry, his got enough on his plate living up to the expectations of many people as the First Black President, His colour shouldnt come into it. He was elelcted on the merit of his campaign. He is a good orator and as someone who always looks at people eyes he is the first one in a while you can trust. He is bringing your boys back alive from pointless wars. Give him some credit and a chance to show you that good times will be back but it is going to take time. So take life a bit slower and wait.
